This project's goal is to give each family member and myself just 10 minutes of unconditional positive regard every day. All attention is focused on the other person for those 10 minutes and only positive comments or thoughts are allowed. Just 10 minutes often becomes much more. Try it and see. You'll find the Just 10 guidelines on the right side of this blog.

The Fruit of the Tree of Life

This photo can be found on Mt. Hood Fruit.
We bought a box of apples from Kiyokawa Family Orchards several years ago.  They were the best apples!

Life will break you. Nobody can protect you from that, and living alone won't either, for solitude will also break you with its yearning. You have to love. You have to feel. It is the reason you are here on earth. You are here to risk your heart. You are here to be swallowed up. And when it happens that you are broken, or betrayed, or left, or hurt, or death brushes near, let yourself sit by an apple tree and listen to the apples falling all around you in heaps, wasting their sweetness. Tell yourself you tasted as many as you could.

Yesterday, Amanda over at Kind Over Matter posted this quote from Louise Erdrich.  I love it and am posting it here to share it with you.  It's Friday and I have a lot of apples to taste.
